I’m excited to announce Tequila Cazadores has launched an Añejo Cristalino! As a Tequila Cazadores ambassador, I was lucky to receive one of the first bottles to try at home. Yay!
Before I even sipped my first taste the intoxicating smell hit my nose. Hints of sweet apples, aged wood, and calming notes. Guys, you know I adore using Cazadores tequila Blanco to shake up cocktails, but Añejo Cristalino is a sipping tequila. I instantly became a fan. Enjoy it in a wine glass for the full experience.
Añejo Cristalino is a premium Tequila and the fifth and newest variety from Tequila Cazadores.
The liquid is created through the harmonious processes of fermentation and distillation, a modern technique unique to Tequila Cazadores. Made from 100% blue agave harvested exclusively in Jalisco, one of the five states in Mexico allowed to produce tequila and home to Tequila Cazadores. Tequila Cazadores Añejo Cristalino is an añejo, or aged, tequila that has been filtered to remove its color. It owes its sheen and transparency to its slow and thorough filtration process. The high-quality tequila is sent to mature in virgin American oak barrels, where it rests for two to three years, slowly absorbing the extraordinary notes of wood from the barrels.
The color is then removed while the rich, sensory qualities of an añejo tequila are conserved, maintaining notes of aged wood, nuts and apples. Those elements combined create the sweet and smooth tequila.
