Our stoop had lavender growing next to it. My younger sister and I used to spend the summer afternoons crushing the lavender on the hot concrete. Then we would float the lavender in water in those little dixie bathroom cups full of water and tell ourselves we had made “perfume”. Now the smell of lavender brings back memories of happy times with my sister. This recipe looks yummy.
