Hey-hey Halloween lovers today I’ve teamed up with Applegate to share with you a fun Halloween pasta salad that bursting with flavor. This colorful pasta salad is fantastic anytime of the year, but today we are making it ghostly good by dying our pasta in fun Halloween colors. I dyed half the pasta orange and the other half of purple, these are my little lady’s favorite Halloween colors. She was thrilled to help me whip up this tasty salad.

Look for organic food coloring in your local grocery store, these dyes are made with 100% natural vegetable juices and spices to tint your pasta. So, get those noodles boiling, grab some food coloring and let’s make some delicious Halloween pasta salad.

Add a few drop of food coloring to boiling water, then add your pasta. Cook, drain and rinse pasta with cold water. This will stop the cooking pasta, plus remove any excess food coloring.

Allow pasta to cool. Here’s where you can load up on the good stuff. Toss in any of your weekly grocery goodies. From tomatoes, bell peppers, sliced mushrooms or olives. Add what your kiddos enjoy. Here’s what my little lady loves.

First I added plenty of diced cucumbers for crunch. Next up halved cherry tomatoes, juicy good.

My little lady adores olive, so we added plenty. Next up was diced Applegate grilled chicken.   I am in love with Applegate products. Applegate believes natural starts at the farm, where farmers raise their animals humanely with no antibiotics or added hormones. The result is meat that tastes better. If you love Applegate you should definitely check out my Tex-Mex chopped salad featuring a few of my favorite Applegate products.

Next mix in your favorite lemon salad dressing. I used my favorite lime dressing, but swapped out lemons for lime. Then stash it in the fridge and let the overnight flavor crew work its magic.

This Halloween pasta salad would be amazing at your neighborhood Halloween party; your guests are sure to find this salad simply scary-delicious. I suggest you make a double batch, it’s just that good. Creamy lemon dressing, crispy cucumber, fresh cherry tomatoes, salty olives and chunks of Applegate chicken create the ultimate spooky good salad.

And speaking of Halloween fun stay tuned for a spooky Halloween instagram take-over featuring a few of my favorite Applegate recipes. Be sure to follow along on the Applegate instagram account.
