UPDATE !!!!
I made this last Monday morning using Barefoot ( 750ml bottle ) Sweet Red Wine and followed ur recipe, except for adding a little more cloves ( love love love the spice ) and in addition I added a few slices of lime.
I let it meld at room temp for about four hrs, put in the frig for the rest of the day and tried it later that night OMG it was delicious. I've enjoyed a small glass each evening. Thanks for the recipe.
I'm thinking I'll also try this next xmas eve as a mulled wine, thanks again.
