Old Fashioned Cocktail Ice Cream Float

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3/4 cups of sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons Maker’s Mark Whisky
  • Zest from 1 small lemon
  • 6 dashes bitters
  • Chilled Seltzer
  • Simple syrup
  • Cherries


  1. In a large bowl whisk together heavy cream, milk and sugar until sugar is completely dissolved. Stir in whisky, zest and bitters. Place ice cream mixture in fridge for 4 hours or overnight. Pour into ice cream maker and freeze according to manufactures’ instructions.
  2. To make old fashioned ice cream float place two scoops old fashioned ice cream in a tall glass, top with chilled seltzer, simple syrup and garnish with cherries.
