Cazuela Apple Honey Margarita with Cinnamon Bee Pollen Rim is a gorgeous margarita to welcome Fall. Tequila Reposado mixed with apple cider, honey simple syrup, citrus and garnished with a cinnamon, bee pollen rim.

Ingredients

  • For Margarita
  • 2 ounces reposado tequila
  • 2 ounces apple cider
  • 1 ounce honey simple syrup
  • For honey simple syrup:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup honey
  • Juice from one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • For Cinnamon Bee Pollen Rim:
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons bee pollen
  • Garnish:
  • Fresh apple slices

Instructions

  1. For Honey Simple Syrup:
  2. Combine the water and honey in a small saucepan. Warm over medium heat, stirring frequently, just until the honey is dissolved in the water. Remove pan from heat, stir in lemon and ground cinnamon and set aside. Allow to cool, place in resealable jar, place in fridge until ready to use. Will keep in fridge for up to one week, shake before using.
  3. For Cinnamon Bee Pollen Rim:
  4. In a molcajete grind together ground cinnamon, salt and ground bee pollen.
  5. To Make Apple Honey Margarita:
  6. Run a lemon wedge around cazuela or glass, dip into salt mixture and fill with ice. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add tequila, apple juice and honey simple syrup. Shake well. Strain into prepared glass, garnish with fresh apple slices - Salud!
