Arroz con Azafrán

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 pinch of saffron
  • Salt


  1. In a sauce pan add broth, saffron and simmer until ready to use.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown rice with olive oil.
  3. When rice is golden brown add onion and garlic.
  4. Continue to cook until onions are soft, about 3 minutes.
  5. Add broth to rice slowly. Season with salt. Bring to a boil.
  6. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until all liquid has absorbed.
  7. Remove from heat, set aside for 5 minute.
  8. Before serving fluff with fork.
