Did you know Mai Tai translates to “out of this world?” Legend has it that Victor Bergeron concocted the cocktail and tested it on a few friends visiting from Tahiti when one exclaimed “Mai-Tai-Roa Aé”, which translates to “Out of this world!”
– Zacapa Rum 23 – Grand Marnier – Fresh passion fruit juice – Fresh lime juice – Ice cubes – Myer’s dark rum – Lime wedges and orange slices
Mix first three ingredients together in a cocktail shaker. Place ice in glasses. Divide mix among glasses and float dark rum over each glass. Garnish with lime wedge.
