Pineapple agua preparada is a fun twist on the classic agua preparada. Made with agua mineral, fresh lemon juice, pineapple juice and plenty of Tajin.
The most refreshing cooler to help fight the Texas heat – bring on the pineapple agua preparada!
Agua preparada is extremely popular along the South Texas border. Sold in food trucks, restaurants, drive-thru mini markets and at the plugas – my favorite place to buy them.
Nothing screams a South Texas summer like sipping on an agua preparada and browsing the pluga.
Agua preparadas are prepped in a large Styrofoam cup heavily rimmed with Tajin and lime juice. Loaded with ice, agua mineral is combined with fresh lime juice and mas tajin.
Refreshing, hydrating, and addicting today I am giving the classic agua preparada a tasty twist by adding pineapple juice to the mix.
My pineapple version can be whipped up in a snap. Perfect for dinner, an on-the-go sipper or how fun for a birthday party.
I used fresh lemon juice for this pineapple version, but you can easily use lime juice. Run your fresh pineapple through a juicer or blender for fresh pineapple juice. And don’t forget the Tajin, it makes this agua POP!
