Move over, tomatoes! This summer we’re whipping up fresh fruit salsa! Pineapple poblano salsa made from fresh pineapple, poblano pepper, onion, jalapeño, lime juice and cilantro are the perfect sweet & spicy combo.
The table isn’t set until the salsa hits the table, and I’m always looking for new ways to create a tasty salsa.
Tomatoes are a staple of salsa, they are juicy and give salsa their body. I wanted a juicy component with a hint of sweetness and decided to try fresh pineapple. Wowie!
Fresh pineapple worked so well. The pineapple gives this salsa a fresh flavor kick, while providing the salsa with a splash of juice as the lime juice breaks down the pineapple slightly.
My easy pineapple poblano salsa recipe is one of my favorites. With just 7 ingredients, it couldn’t be simpler to make. Bring on the tortilla chips!
Serve this pineapple poblano salsa with tortilla chips as an appetizer, spoon over fish or with tacos.

HOW TO MAKE PINEAPPLE POBLNAO SALSA:
For this recipe you will need:
fresh pineapple, I picked up a medium size pineapple for this recipe.
poblano pepper, stem and seeds remove, finely diced
onion, finely diced
jalapeno, seeds removed and minced
lime juice
salt
fresh cilantro
Tortilla chips, homemade or store-bought for serving
In a serving bowl, combine pineapple, poblano pepper, onion, and jalapeno.
Add the lime juice and salt. Stir to combine.
Place in fridge until ready to serve. Stir in cilantro and serve with tortilla chips.

- 4 cups fresh pineapple, diced
- 1 poblano pepper stem and seeds remove, finely diced
- 1 onion finely diced
- 1 jalapeno seeds removed and minced
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
- Tortilla chips for serving
