I absolutely adore the month of February- Oh don’t get me started I love the whole mushy month leading up to a Valentine Day explosion of Love! While dating hubby this holiday was looked upon as a one night expression of love- you got dressed up went out for a nice dinner and enjoy each other’s company. Now after being married ten years and with two young children, this holiday is focused on showing love and appreciation for each other as a family the whole month not just one day. Mushy kisses are daily occurrence here, but in February we mushy kiss each other at every chance we get. The girls love to decorate the house with hearts in all shapes and sizes, they love that each meal contains something in the shape of a heart and even love how their daddy becomes much more “lovey dovey” as they call in this month. What’s not to love- more kisses, longs hugs, holding hands, extra phone calls during the day “just to say hi.” Love it Love it all. You know what else I love? Strawberries, yes they seem to begin filling the produce aisle this month – they will be dipped, made into tarts, on top of cupcakes and used for breakfast favs this month. I buy alot of strawberries in this month, but I have also have some saved from the season- in my freezer just for this month. I plan ahead knowing that when their in season their the best and why not give our loved ones the best? Love a ton this month I know I will and enjoy some on my favorite strawberry treats. Enjoy! SweetLife- sending out “Mushy Kisses!”
Serve up extra love with french toast with a lovely red sauce. I used Texas Toast which is extra thick
– allowing me to cut a heart in the middle without the bread losing it’s shape. I made a quick strawberry sauce to fill the middle and placed the cutouts on the side with fresh strawberries cut into small hearts. Very easy breakfast and a quick way to kick of the month of LOVE!!
