Grapefruit Negroni

Texas grapefruits are at their peak and I cannot get enough of them. I simply adore them and they are their juiciest right in the midst of winter. I always buy bags and bags of them, always fascinated by their radiant interior that makes a marvelous addition to my winter cocktails.

Grapefruit negronis?

Yes please.

A negroni is a classic bitter, gin based cocktail that highlights the flavor in gin typically made with gin and campari. ย Today I thought I would share a rendition of this classic cocktail by replacing the campari with Aperol (an Italian aperitif) plus plenty of fresh ruby red grapefruit juice. Weโ€™re also skipping the traditional martin glass and serving this tart cocktail on the rocks.

Salud!
