Jungle Bird Cocktail
A delicious mix of dark rum, campari and fresh fruit juices the jungle bird cocktail makes me feel like I am lounging in a tropical paradise. Yes, I am aware that fall is upon us, but somehow Texas never got the memo.
Yesterday our temperatures were in the 90’s so a tiki cocktail was calling my name. A 1970’s cocktail the jungle bird is rumored to be created at the Kuala Lampur Hilton, only requires five ingredients and can easily served punch bowl style.
- ¾ oz. Campari
- 1 ½ oz. Dark Rum
- 1 ½ oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice
- ½ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- ½ oz. Simple Syrup
- Pineapple Wedge
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Shake well until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with pineapple wedge.
