Biscoff Milkshake Pops
Every week I visit my mother-in-law she makes sure I leave with a bag of groceries. She packs a few new items she spotted on her most recent grocery trip for the girls. A new cereal or breakfast bar tucked away for them to enjoy at home. For hubby its always gummy worms, gunny bears or gummy dinos; she knows he likes to snacks on them at midnight. And for me sprinkles, cupcake liners, food coloring or a new cookbook for my “recetas para el trabajo.”
A few months ago she added a jar of Biscoff to my bag suggesting I use it to make cookies. “Es como peanut butter, que no?” I just shook my head. I had never tried Biscoff. Was I in for a treat.
Biscoff was nothing like peanut butter, not one bit. And that first jar was eaten by the spoonful in one day. I‘ve gone through a few jars since – not once ever attempted to make cookies. Over ice cream, on warm toast or blended into a milkshake is the way we enjoy this creamy spread.
This past weekend I had the entire clan of cousins stopping by for a visit and wanted to have a sweet after dinner treat ready for their arrival. At first I thought I would finally attempt my first batch of cookies, but with the summer heat I knew paletas were the way to go. Silky smooth Biscoff milkshake paletas the kids would love them!
And they did, even the adults had seconds.
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup biscoff spread
- 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream
-
To a blender add milk, biscoff spread and vanilla ice cream and blend until mixed thoroughly. Pour into your paleta mold, insert sticks and freeze until firm. (About 6 hours)
