I used vanilla wafers, pero you can use the wafer you love for this easy holiday recipe. I topped them with red sprinkles for a touch of Christmas red.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO MAKE CHOCOLATE DIPPED MEXICAN SUGAR WAFER COOKIES
Mexican sugar wafer cookies: I used vanilla for this recipe for a Holiday pop from the red sprinkles, pero you can use strawberry or chocolate.
White chocolate chips: for the background of the red sprinkles, pero you can use chocolate with red sprinkles, or white with green sprinkles, fun!
Sprinkles: I used red, pero green would be pretty or silver or gold.
Parchment paper: Line the baking sheet to allow the chocolate to harden.
Baking sheet: Place the chocolate dipped wafers on a parchment lined baking sheet.
HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE DIPPED MEXICAN SUGAR WAFER COOKIES
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Microwave white chocolate chips on high until melted; stir until smooth.
Dip the end of each of the wafer cookies into the melted chocolate.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet.
Top with sprinkles.
Set aside for at least 2 hours until firm or refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Let the chocolate harden before removing them from cookie sheet.
