Margaritas on the rocks, frozen or by the pitcher Summers in Texas must include margaritas.

My lavender blackberry margarita made with a base of lavender blackberry syrup, fresh lime juice and tequila has me smiling through these days of Texas heat/humidity.

Dried lavender, fresh or frozen blackberries simmered with sugar create a beautiful syrup that pairs effortlessly with tequila Blanco.

From margaritas, to lemonade, to mocktails my lavender blackberry syrup is a wonderful summer base for all your summer sippers.

This syrup can be made in advanced, store covered in fridge until you are ready to shake up my lavender blackberry margaritas.

In a small saucepan add water, sugar, lavender, and blackberries, bring to a boil.

For this recipe I used fresh blackberries, pero you can totally use frozen – simply thaw overnight in the fridge.

Reduce heat. Using back of spoon press down on blackberries, simmer for 3 minutes.
