Paloma Verde Cazuela Cocktail made from honeydew, cucumber juice, lime juice, tequila Blanco and topped with tonic water is a refreshing twist on the classic paloma.
My Paloma Verde is a fun twist on the classic paloma. Served in a Cazuela this cocktail is stunning.
Fresh melon, cucumber, mint, and lime slices are added to the Cazuela before the tequila is poured in. While the cocktail cools, the tequila slowly breaks down the mint, giving my paloma verde cocktail a hint of freshness.
Verde is the Spanish word for green – and boy this paloma verde Cazuela cocktail is brimming with fresh verde flavor.
The perfect cocktail to end the summer on a high note my paloma verde pairs perfectly with ceviche, to fajitas to cold summer salads.
A classic paloma is made from grapefruit juice, lime juice, tequila and topped with fresca, squirt or club soda.
I love-love palomas and sip them all through the intense Texas summer made with peaches and raspberries.
Today I am thrilled to share with y’all a Cazuela paloma cocktail made with honeydew, cucumber, mint, lime, and tequila Blanco. Topped with tonic water served over ice my paloma verde Cazuela hits the spot.

TIPS ON MAKING PALOMA VERDE CAZUELA COCKTAIL
Peel, remove seeds and dice honeydew to make blending easier. Add water by ¼ cup to help blender along or use a juicer if you have one.
I suggest doing the same for the cucumber, remove skin and seeds and dice into larger chunks for easier blending. You can use a seedless cucumber if they are available in your grocery store.
Strain both juices before adding to your Cazuela.
For the tequila, use what you like to sip. I prefer tequila that state 100% de agave, which means the tequila is distilled only from Mexican blue agave plants. Cheap tequilas are often muddled down with alcohol made from corn or sugar cane, resulting in a tequila that burns, taste flat and lacks flavor.
Nothing beats fresh lime juice in cocktails, fresh is always best.
WHAT IF I DON’T OWN A CAZUELA?
Feel free to use a punch bowl or two large pitchers to make this cocktail.
