Plum Pineapple Margarita

I’ve been hoarding plums from my kids. Isn’t that horrible?ย  Tiny piles, stashed near the fridge, next to the basket of potatoes where I know they would never look.

There I said it. Out loud. I’m a plum hoarder.

The thing is I picked up a few plums at the grocery store last week.ย  And they were SO juicy, plump and sweet I knew I just had to make a margarita. ย

The next day they were ALLย GONE.ย  All of them, what? This happened three times over the course of the lastย week. KIDS!

So late Sunday night I headed to the store in my raggedy jeans, along with my little sister and went plum picking, again.ย

Then I went home and HID them, all of them.ย  Last night I retrieved my hidden plums and preceded to assemble my juicer when I heard tiny footsteps, and there they were..ย these kidsโ€ฆ I swear.

Whatโ€™s a plum hoarder to do? Give in and share. Can you blame them? Theyย are SO juicy, plump and sweet.

Mother of the year I tell you.

Lucky for them I had half of a pineapple to throw into the mix and guess what? It made the margarita even better.ย  A sweet cotton candy shade of pink swirled with a pop of pineapple.ย  OH yes, so sweet!

Plum hoarding is overrated.ย  Enjoy!

One of my favorite poems is about plums. A man sneaks into the kitchen at night to eat the plums his wife has been keeping in her refrigerator. Thank you for sharing the margarita and the lovely lovely pictures.

If I were your kids, I’d be stealing them also! They are so great right now. But if I were your kids, I also wouldn’t be old enough to partake in this margarita…so…maybe I don’t want to be like them in the end. ๐Ÿ˜›

So did you share these margaritas with your kids and save the whole batch for yourself? ๐Ÿ™‚ I can honestly say that I’ve never had a plum margarita but it sure sounds good, especially with the pineapple! Another great drink!

LOL! Plums go rapid-fire in my house, as well. I could definitely go for one of these right now…I don’t think I’ve ever eaten (or drinken – ha) plums and pineapples together before. I MUST try it.
