The Watermelon Gin and Tonic cocktail pairs subtle, sweet flavors with a bright fizziness and clean taste. Garnished with fresh watermelon, lime slices and mint, this cocktail is the perfect way to enjoy a bubbly can of PERRIER®.

Sweet Life Disclosure: I am excited to partner with PERRIER® to bring you this delicious and refreshing watermelon cocktail.  Thank you for supporting the brands I collaborate with.

Watermelon Gin and Tonic

Today is National Watermelon Day and to celebrate, I’m sharing a gorgeous summer cocktail, the Watermelon Gin and Tonic.  This cocktail begins with a base of Watermelon-flavored PERRIER® Sparkling Mineral Water, which perfectly compliments this drink and boosts it’s natural watermelon flavor.

Watermelon is one of my favorite Summer flavors.  Whether served up in crisp slices, blended into an agua fresca or chilled over an icy cocktail, the mild sweetness of the watermelon is the perfect flavor profile for summer.

I’m using gin in this recipe, but spirits can easily be omitted to create a delicious mocktail, cooler or lemonade.  And you won’t need any fancy ingredients or tools for this cocktail.  It’s simple, easy to make, and packed with fresh watermelon flavor.  No sweeteners or additives.

Watermelon Gin and Tonic Cocktail

The Watermelon Gin and Tonic is refreshing, crisp and light.  It’s the perfect Summer drink to serve at parties or outdoor barbecues.

Since it’s a simple recipe with only a handful of ingredients, you’ll want to make sure you use a high quality gin.  Using the best ingredients will ensure a delicious cocktail and impress your guests.

I always use fresh lime or lemon juice in my cocktails (never bottled).  Fresh squeezed citrus juice really elevates the flavors of the cocktail.  I also make sure that my tonic water is fresh, from an unopened bottle.  Tonic fizz adds a wonderful aroma and brightness to a cocktail.  You should never use flat tonic water.

I like to stock my bar with PERRIER® Sparkling Mineral Water single serving cans or bottles.  This way I waste less and keep more of that delicious fizziness in my cocktails. Perrier® Watermelon is one of the latest additions to the growing range of Perrier® Sparkling Flavors. All flavors (expect Lemon) are available in stylish 8.45 fl oz slim cans and 16.9 fl oz PET bottles. Original, Lime, L’Orange, and Strawberry flavors are also available in the new 11.15 fl oz sleek can format at participating retailers nationwide. Perrier® is available at retailers nationwide both online and in-store

To keep things simple, I also like to purchase the small seedless watermelons, which make prep for this cocktail so much easier.  Simply dice, garnish and you’re ready to start sipping!  Enjoy!
