Easy Mexican Hot Chocolate

We are slowly putting together our altar this year for Dia de Los Muertos.ย  This day is dedicated to reflecting on the lives of loved ones we have lost.ย  We celebrate their lives and rejoice in their memories.ย  This year our altar will be filled with sugar skulls, marigolds, candles, papel picado and personal mementos. ย I hope that with sharing my families past my girls will learn about their culture, grow to appreciate their heritage and remember those who came before them.

ย

Last week my girls made Dia de Los Muertos mugs and this week I share one of our favorite Mexican hot chocolate recipes. The recipe is super easy and made with Abuelita chocolate.

ย Have I shared? I’m nominated for Best Latina Food Blogger for Latism in Houston this weekend?

Please help this Texas gal win! Cast your vote HERE!!
