Carne Asada Nachos
(recipe available in English and Spanish)Sunday mornings are a whirlwind of activity with mass, Sunday school and meetings. A light breakfast and we’re off as a family to celebrate Sunday. I usually stick around while my gals attend Sunday school while mi carino heads home to whip up a quick and easy lunch for us.
It’s Sunday, so that also means Football. And the one meal mi carino has nailed is football food. Lucky for him we had recently received a shipment of Marcela Valladolid’s new ready-to-cook products. A few minutes on the grill and the Carne Asada seasoned with citrus, onion and oregano was ready to be diced. He loaded two oven safe plates with the salsa verde chips, topped with diced carne asada and a hefty handful of cheese. Baked in the oven for a few minutes, then piled high with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro green onion and dollops of sour cream.
Football food at its best!! Quick, easy, flavorful.
A heaping plate of nachos, the perfect treat after a busy Sunday morning.
