Chocolate Chip Cookies with Chickpeas

Stuffed Poblanos, Horchata and Grapefruit Ginger Key Lime Granita

Horchata           serves 6-7           6 tbsp rice           6 ounces (1 1/4) cups blanched almonds              1 inch cinnamon stick           Three 2 inch strips of lime zest (colored rind only), 3/4 inch wide           about 1 cup sugar           Thoroughly pulverize the rice in a blender or spice grinder. Pretty Pancakes

Hello dears, how was your weekend? Mine was F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!!  Yup it was one of those weekends when there’s no commitments, no obligations,  Nada I mean Nada. Those are rare around our house so we took complete advantage and just let loose, went with the flow and enjoyed each other’s company. On Friday we hit a bookstore that was going out of business,  we arrived foaming at the mouth (well at least I did) and hit that store like there was no tomorrow.

Key Lime Cake with Pepitas

Well let me introduce you to Chuls, she’s my 10yr old daughter and guess what? She steps in when mommy is losing her mind and I do lose my mind at least once a week. Let me give ya some background first- when she was 8yrs old I decided to begin… Read More
