 Key Lime Blackberry Bonbons

This sweet treat requires only 3 ingredients, a little patience and a WHOLE fun mess of sprinkles.  I mean who doesn’t love chocolate covered sprinkles, but let’s mix it up, throw caution to the wind and give my beloved Texas wild blueberry a chance to shine.

These tiny gems are plump, juicy and grow rampant here in South Texas. My mami had a large blackberry bush in her backyard when we were young and we picked to our hearts content all summer.  Frozen with a sprinkle of sugar is how we enjoyed them, but today I wanted to dress these little guys up with Key Lime candy melts from Wilton and a few sprinkles.

Make sure your blackberries are completely dry before you begin dipping them in the chocolate and please, please don’t skimp on the sprinkles –FUN!
