Strawberry Salsa
My sister recently hosted a small fiesta to celebrate my cocktail book Latin Twist. She invited a few of close personal girlfriends along with their husband for an evening of cocktail and appetizers. I set up a beautiful table featuring three cocktails from my book. I served melon con vino, palomas and a passion fruit caipirinha.
For the appetizer table we had mini chicken flautas, a hominy sauté, mini fruit tarts and strawberry salsa with tortilla chips. The strawberry salsa was the hit of the night, of course besides the cocktails. I had numerous requests for the recipe, tweets and even a few texts. (the bowl is from WorldMarket) With the Texas heat this strawberry salsa hits the spot. It’s refreshing, spicy and goes down well with a batch of freshly friend tortilla chips. I have made it numerous times myself for Sunday family dinner. Try this strawberry salsa over grilled fish, fajitas or try it on nachos, insane good.
