HOW TO MAKE WATERMELON PALOMAS SERVED IN A DIY WATERMELON PUNCH BOWL
We are using the flesh from the watermelon to make our palomas. Use a blender or juicer to make watermelon juice. If using a juicer, simply pass through the juicer.
If using a blender, you can add a little water to get the blender going or press down with a wooden spoon to release some of the watermelon natural juices.
We are returning the watermelon juice to the hollowed-out watermelon โ strain before retuning to discard any remining solids from blending.
For this recipe I used a personal seedless watermelon. You can blend watermelon with seeds, straining helps to remove any leftover seeds.
Pour watermelon juice into hollowed-out watermelon โ make sure you have enough room for remining liquids, as some watermelon produce more juice than others. If you are unsure being by pouring in half the juice, then add remining liquid, taste and add more watermelon juice to taste.
Add tequila, lemon juice, a little of the salt-tajin mix (optional) and top with grapefruit soda.
Serve over prepared glass, garnish with watermelon.
