Melon Salad with Tequila Lime Dressing
I recently headed to New Orleans for a Latin Twist book signing at Tales of the Cocktail. For those interested it is currently on sale over at Amazon, smile. After our first book signing we headed out for a quick lunch before a scheduled seminar. We stopped at the Tableau where I had a wonderfully refreshing salad of watermelon, olive and feta over a bed of greens. I wanted to recreate this salad for my family, but decided to give it a little tang by using tequila for the dressing. Plus Friday is National Tequila day so what better time… Read More
Paloma Cocktail Marinated Chicken Fajitas
In celebration of National Tequila Day on Friday I was testing a new adaption of a paloma cocktail when it hit me that it would make a great marinade for chicken fajitas. I usually marinate my chicken for fajitas in fresh citrus juices, so why not add a punch to my fajitas with a hefty drizzle of tequila, plus it was Monday and I feel like tequila in any way is required to get through a hectic Monday. I tripled the cocktail recipe, added my chicken to marinate and continue tweaking the paloma recipe I was working on. A few… Read More

Peach Sangria
We went peach picking y’all! If you follow me on instagram you noticed we headed out to Fredericksburg, Texas to peach ALL the peaches. Sun ripened straight from the tree we ate almost as much as we picked. So juicy. We snacked on quite a bit the next day, but I made sure to set aside a few to make peach sangria for Sunday family dinner. I sliced the peaches, put them in a bowl with sugar, a few mint leaves and a splash of brandy to infuse. When my family arrived I scooped the infused peaches into a tall… Read More
