A Mexican Christmas punch flavored with the goodness of Lipton® Green Tea, fresh fruit and cinnamon will be a beautiful addition to your holiday table. I’m excited to partner with Logra Mas Con Tu Cocina to bring you an exciting new recipe. Thank you for supporting the brands I collaborate.

Tis the season for holiday parties, spending time with loved ones, tamales and plenty of ponche.

As soon as there is a crisp chill in the air, I crave a steamy mug of ponche. Nothing gets me in to the holiday spirit than a steamy mug of ponche. A vibrant ponche made with fresh fruit, fruit juices and cinnamon is cozy comfort at its best.

Today I want to share a Mexican Christmas punch made with Lipton® Green tea. I enjoy sipping on a mug of green tea while I work at my desk, so when Logra Mas Con Tu Cocina asked to me to give their Mexican Christmas Punch a twist using Lipton green tea I was more than happy to share.

Lipton® Green tea bags have a delightfully light, fresh, and non-bitter taste that is simply delicious. Lipton® Green tea contains about 150mg of flavonoids per serving. A daily consumption of at least 400mg of flavonoids may help maintain a healthy heart as part of a diet consistent with dietary guidelines.

This festive and fruity drink is inspired by the traditional Mexican recipe for ponche navideño. Typically served hot, with or without alcohol, and during the holiday season, the punch’s cinnamon and fruit fusion create an aroma perfect for warming you up during the holidays. My punch begins with a base of simmered fruit and spices for warmth. Simmering the fruit allows for flavors to develop. Stir in brown sugar, then we add our Lipton® Green Tea Bags, allow to steep, we want all that green tea goodness. When ready to serve, stir in the juices.

I like to serve my Mexican Christmas Punch is a punch bowl, with all the fruit. Guests can serve themselves and it makes for a beautiful presentation.
