Ingredients
1 (16-oz.) package dried black beans
1 onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon ground salt
Instructions
Rinse and sort beans according to package directions. Place beans in a slow cooker. Add water 2 inches above beans; let soak 8 hours. Drain and rinse. Return beans to slow cooker with onion, garlic, cumin, pepper, and salt. Pour enough water over the beans to cover them by about 2 inches. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until beans are tender. Serve warm with cilantro and queso fresco.
