This year, nearly one in four kids in America will face hunger. That’s more than 17 million. But, there is hope. Share our Strength is working to connect hungry kids with programs that can help them get the food they need to thrive. I’m taking my love for baking and putting it to good use to help kids struggling with hunger, but I need your help! Sweet or Savory Avocado Breakfast Sauce
Busy mornings call for quick, tasty, colorful meals. Fruit salad and tostadas are a two of my favorite go to breakfast meals. Both offer endless combinations of flavors. Throw into the mix a creamy avocado breakfast sauce and breakfast is served!
Cantaloupe Margarita
Sipping Saturday I made a tasty fruit salad for my girls on Wednesday. I couldn’t help but save a few slices for a bright melon margarita. The color reminds me of summer weekends spent at the beach with family. With our feet in the hot sand we would snack on cold melon. Have a wonderful weekend! Sweet Life
Piquin POM Fajitas
Pamper. Protect. Please. Piquin. My hubby had a horrible week at work. Tense, long days of struggle and endless question. My hubby is not one to bring home his troubles, but I as his wife knows him best. This is when I do the following.
Curious George Celebrates Hispanic Heritage and Latina Moms with a Mother's Day Surprise
When given the chance to host a pre screening party of the new episode “Mother’s Day Surprise,” featuring Curious George, I jumped at the chance. Curious George is one lovable monkey who like our party guests is always curious, always eager, always willing to learn.

Strawberry Margarita
Sipping Saturday I set aside a few strawberries from my trip to Poteet, Texas to share with you one of my favorite margaritas. Truthfully I love them all, but you can’t beat the taste of fresh strawberry juice on a hot, humid Texas night! Enjoy! Sweet Life!
Mango Chicken Quesadillas and Roasted Oregano Strawberry Tostadas
May is upon us and for many that means Cinco de Mayo! As I explained last year Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Battle of Puebla where Mexico defeated the French Army. Funny thing is Mexico doesn’t celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the day is part of their History, but not an official holiday. In our house Cinco de Mayo has become a time to honor our Mexican Heritage. I want my children to be proud of their heritage, love their history and introduce them to the people I feel have changed our world for the best.
