It’s that time of the year, when love is in the air. Ahh, the sweet sweet month of February. I look forward to February. I believe this is the month where we take those little extra steps to really shower on the as my girls’ say “sticky love.” Sticky love is in your face, up in your grill, invading your comfort zone, embarrassing kind of affection. There is a reason for this “sticky love”. Let’s pause for a moment to think back.

Happy Monday, we are up and running again. The cold weather gifted the Rio Grande Valley almost a day and half with out electricity. Grapefruit Upside-Down Cake
It’s cold here in Texas, really cold.. we are currently at 26 degrees.. I’m ecstatic!! I plan to enjoy this cold weather with a warm slice of the seasonal upside down cake. I had planned to share my second installment of Texas Talent, but us Texans are not prepared for these chilly temps. My electricity has been off and on for the last day. Citrus Season is in full swing here in the Rio Grande Valley. As you drive through the valley every fruit stall is brimming with bag after bag of citrus. One of our favorite times of the year as we enjoy freshly squeezed juice every morning with our breakfast. Here is a tangy citrus punch made also with local honey. Enjoy! Sweet Life!
